Colorado Horse Rescue Network is a non profit organization focused on helping horses in danger, or horses possibly headed for slaughter. We are offering a limited purchase program due to the economic stresses and difficulties of weather. Some horse owners will be facing difficulties this winter, and instead of dumping a horse, having to sort through numerous responses on ads or taking a horse to a sale barn where it runs the risk of ending up at slaughter, we are offering a "buy out" program. Surrendered horses will be taken in by experienced fosters who will address health and behavioral needs and make decisions in the best interest of the animals.

Equines will all be fully vetted before adoption, and we require home checks, contracts and references before we place any animal. You must be able to obtain a brand inspection. Condition is not a consideration, so no one should hesitate to contact us with a horse needing care. Please contact us with the basic information on your equines and we will try to arrange help as soon as possible. We want to match horses with the best foster homes until they can be fully evaluated so please be as honest as possible with descriptions. Nearly all buy outs can be picked up within 48 hours of completion of brand inspection transfer within the state of Colorado!
Horses, Ponies & Mules - $100
All equines, of any shape, size, condition, age and training. A check for $100 per head will be issued to you upon pickup of the animal. Brand inspection must be provided. Brand compensation can be arranged.
Donkeys - $50
All donkeys of any shape, size, condition, age and training. A check for $50 per head will be issued to you upon pickup. Brand inspections must be provided. Brand inspection compensation can be arranged.
